Harry Kovar founded WellNet Healthcare in 1994 to address the need to manage the cost of medical benefits within the healthcare industry and remains its Chairman. Harry set out to address a problem running rampant in the healthcare industry: you can’t manage what you can’t measure. He had a vision that every company would have access to their healthcare data in a timely manner and have the necessary technology to analyze this information to make informed decisions about how to spend their healthcare benefit dollar. As his vision became a reality, he steered WellNet to develop a suite of complimentary products and services that further enabled and supported companies to manage their healthcare spend.

Prior to forming WellNet, in 1984, Harry created BioSystems to capitalize on an innovative solution for syringe collection and disposal. BioSystems medical waste disposal solution was a huge success and resulted in the decline of needle sticks by hospital staff, reduction of illness caused by needle sticks, considerable savings of money & hospital staff time and a reduction of contaminants into the atmosphere. Harry sold BioSystems to SteriCycle.

Harry received a Bachelors of Science from Baruch College with a concentration in Business Management.
